Background Information Council is requested to approve the second reading of an ordinance amendment relating to the City Ordinance Chapter; 34, Section 34.03 (fees) and Chapter 150, Section 1 o. 1 ( the State Building Codes Adopted). Fees: Decent legislative changes to Mumesota Statutes 326.148 regarding "Surcharge" fees, requires the City to harge a state-mandated surcharge on "Pen based on Fixed Fees." This surcharge only applies to the ` {P rinits based on Fixed Fees ". The minimur surcharge for a "fixed fees permit will go f t1le present charge of $.50 to $5.00 for the period of July 1, 2010, untiI June 3 0, 2011. Code Chan The changes in Chapter 150 of the City Code are to reflect newer additions to existin building codes that are mandated by state lave to be enforced.
