Also enclosed are certified Minutes of the City Council Meeting of July 5, 1989, appointing Tom Novak. Please sign the enclosed certified Minutes, have the City Seal stamped on this document and return it to me and I will forward it to the Chief Judge for his approval. I am also forwarding to you an Acceptance and Appointment of Oath for Tom Novak. After we have received the Notice of the Chief Judge that he has signed the Order, please contact Tom and have him sign his Acceptance and Appointment of Oath. Previously, you signed and Order appointing Thomas Novak to the Hastings Charter Commission. However, Mr. Novak was not able to sign the Accpetance and Appointment of Oath within the 30 days required by state law. Therefore, it was necessary for the City Council to renominate Mr. Novak. Members present: Councilmembers Johnson, Riveness, Werner, Mathiowetz, Trautmann, Simacek and Mayor Stoffel. Members absent: None. Moved by Councilmember Simacek and seconded by Councilmember Trautmann to approve the following nomination to the Hastings City Charter Commission and to direct the City Attorney to forward this nomination to the Chief Judge of the First Judicial District for his approval. The nomination and term of office is as follows: Name Date of Expiration of Term Thomas Novak April 30, 1993 Upon being put to a vote, the above nomination was approved by the unaminous vote of all City Councilmembers. Whereupon, the Mayor declared the same to be duly passed.
