Pursuant to state law, we are required to submit these nominations to the Chief Judge for the First Judicial District for his approval. I have prepared the necessary papers. I am enclosing for your signature and City Seal an extract of the minutes of the March 6, 1989, meeting wherein those nominations were approved by the Council. If this extract of minutes meets with your approval, please sign this document and have the City Seal stamped where indicated on the form. Once this has been completed, please return the original document to me and I will forward it on to the Chief Judge for his signature. I am also enclosing two Acceptance of Appointment and oath forms that are to be signed by Richard Bond and Robert Stoneberg after the Chief Judge has approved their nominations. Once I receive the approval of the Chief Judge, I will notify you that we can have the nominees sign their Acceptance of Appointment and Oath. For the City records, we should note that Robert Stoneberg is filling the vacancy of Wint Hartman and Richard Bond is filling the vacancy of Jeanne - McGree. Members present: Councilpersons Johnson, Riveness, Werner, Mathiowetz, Trautmann and Mayor Stoffel. Members absent: Councilperson Simacek. Moved by Councilperson Riveness and seconded by Councilperson Werner to approve the following nominees to the Hastings Charter Commission and to direct the City Attorney to forward these nominations to the Chief Judge of the First Judicial District for his approval. The nominees and the terms of office are as follows: Name Date of Expiration of Term Robert Stoneberg November 30, 1989 Richard Bond November 30, 1989 Upon being put to a vote, the above nominations were approved by the unaminous vote of all Councilpersons present. Whereupon, the Mayor declared the same to be duly passed.
