City Attorney

Hastings, Minnesota 55033
Dear Don:
On Monday, July 2, 1984 the City Council appointed
Mr. Earl Beltz to the City's Charter Commission. As you
may recall, Mr. Beltz lived outside the City limits for
a period of time, thereby making him ineligible. He has
since moved into the City and it would be our desire to
see that he is appointed as soon as possible. The next
Charter Commission meeting is on July 12, 1984 and we were
wondering if you could have the Judge sign the order appoint-
ing him, so the Mayor could swear him in at that meeting.
Yours truly,
CITY OF HASTINGS

FROM: GARY BROWN h K
SUBJECT: RE- APPOINT EARL BELTZ TO CHARTER COMMISSION
A number of months ago, the City appointed a contingency of citizens
to the Charter Commission. Mr. Earl Beltz moved outside of the city
limits which no longer made him eligible to be a member of the Charter
Commission. The City Council is hereby requested to re-- appoint Mr. Beltz
to the Charter Commission upon which the district court judge will be
asked to appoint him and the Mayor can again swear him in.
