Members present: Councilmembers Johnson, Riveness, Mathiowetz, Simacek, Hicks and Mayor Werner. Members Absent: Trautmann. Moved by Councilmember Mathiowetz and a second was made by Councilmember Simacek to approve the following nominations to the Hastings City Charter Commission and to direct the City Attorney to forward this nomination to the Chief Judge of the First Judicial District for his approval as required by Minn. Stat. 9410.05, Subd. 2. These should not be signed by these individuals at this time since they have not been formally appointed by the Judge. As soon as the Judge formally appoints these individuals, T will let you know immediately and the City can then contact these individuals to have them come in and sign this Acceptance of Appointment and Oath. As you recall, the law requires this Acceptance of Appointment to be signed within thirty (30) days after they have been appointed by the Chief Judge of this Judicial District. Please hold off having these individuals come in and sign this until 1 let you know that the Judge has, in fact, appointed these individuals.
