To; Honorable Mayor and City Council
From: Barry Bernstein, Parks and Recreation Director
Subject: Beverage Agreement
As our current beverage agreement with Coca-Cola is set to expire, the Parks and Recreation Staffhave been
investigation options with Coca-Cola as well as other beverage providers.
After or research and review of proposals that were submitted, it is recommended to continue to offer Coca-
Cola as our exclusive beverage throughout our parks/facilities systenn for the next five years. From our research
and cost comparisons of the other proposals, Coca-Cola is offering lower pricing per product and $10,000 over
a five year period in cash value to the City. Qver the course of the agreement, as in previous agreements, the
expected increase of product that is purchased is 3-5%. This would be our third contract with Coca-Cola to
provide beverages to our City facilities. In each previous agreement, the length was also five years in duration.
This issue was discussed with the NRRC as well as the Parks and Recreation Coirimittee of Council. The
Commission and Committee recommended its approval and bringing this issue before the full City Council.
I welcome any questions.
Thank you!
