Please provide a short paragraph summarising why you are seeking an appointment to a
City of Hastings commission.
Building a strong community takes a scam of people; everyone from the City, schools,
business owners, home owners, non-profits, and children of our community. We have a
community with many temfic assets that need to be embellished and some that are
working strong just the way they arc currently. As an owner of a Real Lstate Company I
have experienced first hand how the lack of new business in the South end of Hastings
has depreciated the value of homes and affected the businesses in that area of town
negatively. Tam very interested in the downtown development being completed in
positive way and the Vermillion corridor project being handled in a proactive manor. 1
believe my energy level and positive attitude would be a great addition to the Economic
Development Commission. I appreciate your consideration.

As an Owner /Agent / Broker of a Real Estate Company and a Property Management
Company, I deal with the residential and commercial industry daily. I train agents,
manage financials, bid out jobs, marketing, audpt, and communicate with builders,
developers, buyers and sellers. Day in and day out of owning a business I wear many
hats and have to be willing to adapt quickly to changes in the market. I also am on
several committees at the Southern Twin Cities Board of Realtors and on the Builders
Associations. Because of that I sec first hand what is going on in other communities and
the issues that may be going on in other areas. I have also served as Fast President on the
Youth First Board, a board member of the Community Advisory Council to Pine Bend
and am an active volunteer within our School District. i am a 3'd generation native of
Hastings and believe that giving back to our community is essential to a better tomorrow.
