Dock Manufacturer: Shoremaster $35,543.90 Ramp Manufacturer: Shoremaster $17,724.97 Backeround The City's engineering consultant on the public dock project, Joel Toso from the Polaris Group, has been working on the City's behalf the last several weeks, securing quotes for the manufacturing and delivering of both the dock material and ramp material to the site. Included in the packet is a summary Joel Toso has prepared outlining the three quotes that were received for the dock manufacturing and delivery, and the two quotes received for the manufacturing and delivery of the ramps. The City Council will note that Shoremaster is the recommended contractor for both the dock and ramps. Additional quotes will be received in the near future, and contract awarded for the installation of the pile clusters, and the actual installation of the dock and ramps. Joel Toso will be in attendance at the meeting on Monday April 16, 2007 should the City Council have any questions. f~ David M. The VersaDock system did not include platforms needed for ramps and would likely require a wave calmer. We expect these added costs to bring their quote close to Shoremasters. • We expect advantages with future service given their main office is in Fergus Falls. • They were responsive in the providing information about the product. • Delivery was expected to be within six weeks.
