We are much lower than all other cities in the Twin Cities area and most only do 1 inspection where we typically perform 2 inspections. I think the fee increase is more than justified. I'm very sorry for not getting this to you earlier ...............Anotherthing is I met with a rep. from the ISO Organization. The 3 hour meeting went well but I need to get her a couple more things. They want the names and occupations of all the city council members. I believe it is because they would be part of an appeals board if someone challenged a call I made pertaining to codes. Thanks! These fee categories are charged to building permits for activities such as final grading/site inspection, certificate of survey review, and top of block inspections. This fee schedule was last modified in early 2007, and the proposed increases are reflective of slight increases in billable rates from the City's consultant BDM. Council is also requested to officially incorporate the pre-existing Right-of-Way permit fees schedule into the master City Fees Schedule. In this email she outlines a fee adjustment for our upcoming 2008 swimming lessons. Darbie and I did discuss this moderate change during the beginning stages of budget planning process and then she went on maternity leave. During the process of the budget planning, I failed to make to the modification of the fee plan that was recently approved by council. I am seeking City Council authorization to adjust the swimming fees for 2008. No other pool fees are being requested to be modified. Depending on the vendor pricing for concession goods, we will adjust accordingly. Currently we charge $33.00 for the Parent Child class and $36.00 for the Level classes. I would like to propose an increase in both programs with a final fee of $37.00 for the Parent Child class and $40.00 for the Level classes. Each session are 8 classes with the Parent Child class being 30 minutes long and the Level classes being 40 minutes long. Please consider this increase and contact me with any questions or concerns.
