With similar requests for utility service repair, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement and waiver of assessment appeal for property owners to sign, spelling out the conditions and terms of the assessment and protecting the City from an assessment appeal. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED Council is requested to approve the LaLonde's request for the City to fund the sewer service repair and assess this cost back to their property under the condition that Mr. & Mrs. LaLonde first enter into an assessment agreement with the City. An excavating company was called for an estimate. The purpose for this letter is to request fmancial assistance in the fonn of a 5 year assessment fee to be added onto our escrow account in order to finance the repair. Estimates range between $1500-5000. At this time we are unable to pay that amount. We are also aware of the environmental impact of leaking water, and would like to resolve the issue quickly.
