Re: Resolution -Install STOP Signs on Eddy Street and Spring Street at 10`'' Street
Council is request to adopt the enclosed resolution ordering the installation of
STOP signs on Eddy Street and on Spring Street at their intersections with 10`h Street.
Commenting on the street and utility construction project, a resident requested the two
STOP signs. The Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices lists as one of
the STOP sign warrants, "Intersection of a less important road with a main road where
application of the normal right-of--way rule would not be expected to provide reasonable
safe operation "and "Street entering a through highway or street ". With 10`h Street
classified as a collector street with high traffic volumes, these intersections meet the
warrants for installing STOP signs to stop Eddy and Spring Street traffic at 10`h Street.
