Approve the attached resolution, approving an incremental adjustment to TRAC fares, effective
.lanuary l , 2009.
Background Information
In 2007, the City Council approved an incremental fare increase for the TRAC fares. During
preparation of the 2009 budget, the, Finance Committee of the Council supported an accelerated
schedule of the fare increase for 20:09 from $1.701ride to $1.~51ride.
2009 TRAC fares are. projected to provide $61,250 ~n annual revenue for the TRAC program, of
which annual operating expenses afire projected at almost $390,000 for 2009. Met Council
provides approximately $254,000 MnDDT approximately $42,600 far the 2009 TRAC program.

Resolution Adopting the 2090
Fare Adjustment for the Hastings TRAC Program
WHEREAS, the City of Hastings has operated an intra-city transit service called
TRAC ~TRansportation Around the City} since 1978; and
WHEREAS, TRAC provides over 34,040 rides annually throughout the City of
Hastings to passengers with transportation needs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has supported an incremental increase to the fare
structure;
NUW THEREFQRE BE ~T RESaLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Hastings that the 2009 fare for aone-way TRAC ride will be $ ~ .75.
Adopted by the Hastings City Councii this 15t~ day of December, 2008.
