Minutes cf December 28, 1983

Fioronce Petersen called tho meeting to order.
The roll was called with the following members present.
Florence Petersen
Jamos Abbott Absent:
Margaret Brown Vern McGree
Hazel Jacobso~ Pat Kelso
Carla Reichenberg Pat Gildemeister
There were no previous meetings held for three months.
1. New members to be found for the Hastings Historical Co~mi~sion.
2. Commission is made of nine members:
~ Mombers with 2 year terms
4 Members with 1 year terms Total 9 (nine) Members.
James Abbott reported on Mural funding.
December 11, 1983 the An~ Auction was held at the Hastings
~Country Club and $1,100.00 aprox, was raised.
Hazel Jacobsen, suggested using ~!evsTa~.i artists for.mural,
than just one artist.
Bellwood cemeteryj~a~tev Alexis Bailly.
Hazel Jacobsen did research for prajectconcerning bronze placque,
and approval of church board. Washington~ D.C. confirmed this also.
Money must be remitted or casting of bronze placque.
"A FOUNDER OF HASTINGS" woutad be placed on the placque.
Motion Bill to be allowed for cost of bronze placque made by ~
Margare~ Brown, seconded by Caria Reichenberg. Ayes all Carried.
New 2ro~ect: Civil War Veterans Bronze or Stone Markers to
replace old Civil War Markers Cost aboutn $50.00 per marker.
A brief discussion of Mainstreet Restoration and funding was
given.
