Hazel Jacobsen reports:
1. %~alklng Tour & Car Tour pamphlets are being
rechecked for accuracy and will be combined
into I booklet. Pam Thoreson will be working o
on the organization and presentation of the
new booklet.
2. The River Story and the Ferry story researched
by Hazel, will be compiled with footnotes
and documentations into booklet form.
3. Hastings Banks & Savings Institutes history
is finished. Hastings commission, public
library, and the Dakota County museum should
get copies.
4. Every committee member who does research
should triRte check all information, and
document the findings.
5. Research is bein5 done on the Hastings
cemeteries.
6. Hazel requests that we get busy on our assigned
Mayors of Hastin~ reports. A'
7. Students from St. Thomas received s on their
re~orts'of LeDuc's life after the Civil War.
8. Mike O~Conner, who bought the Hastings C~azettte,
gets free micro films of all the old Gazettes
that the Dakota County museum uses.

Vern McGree report on the Vet. Memorial Levee:
The goal is $5,000 and the money is comin~
in very well.
2. Estimates for the plaques are comir~ in.
3. Discussion on the Vet. Memorial Leeve dedication
being combined with the railroad bridge dedication.
Vern McGree requests that the Hastings Historical Commission's
ca~sual History be sold at the Alumni Banquet.
Rivertown Days Re~ort:
1. Pat Kelso will head the LeDuc Tours.
2. Florence Peterson will be in charge of the
Tent at Roadside Park. The selected historical
pictures should be ready for display by that time/
Tours Hazel states that the Minnesota State Historical
Society's Ignatious Donnelly tour is scheduled for
July 25. Hastings is included.
Pictorial History Selection Committee meets the end of March.
