Public !~eejng - advertised in Star Gazette Persons interested in nominating their properties to the local, state or national register were invited to meet at 7 ~.m. Four parties did so. Forms and procedures were provided. 2. Minutes of the I.leeting of November g, 1988 Goderstad moved and Olson seconded approval as printed. All ayes. 3. Pitz Building - 218 E. Second St. In response to news accounts that the HRA had discussed the condition of this building in the sense of whether or not is should be repaired or demolished, Mr. Grossman was asked to notify the HRA that the HPC expected that any possibility of demolition would be referred to th~m and that they hoped the HRA would keep trying to have the building rehabilitated. 3. Photograph Collections. ~r. Grossman asked the Commission to authorize expenditures of $5.00 +/- for each old photo printed in the Star Gazette which could be added to the HPC collections. Maim moved and Goderstad seconded. For the motion: four; opposed: none. 4. Budget. Mr. Grossman passed out financial reports of the HPC's funds as recorded by the city. 1988 balance: $7,376.29 Publications Account: $3,725.72 Mural Account: S1,113.77 Misc. Funds: $2,536.80 5. Self guided tour. Mr. Goderstad asked for authorization to reprint the handout walking tour. He will look into costs and procedures. Olson moved and ~lalm seconded authorization of up to $400 for the self-guided tour. For the motion: four; opposed: none. 6. Schaller Building, 313 Ramsey Street Tod Elkins, from Foster Dunwiddles historic preservation class at the Architecture School completed a nomination form. This will be kept for submission to Council later this year. 7. Annual HPC conference, April 15th. Nr. Simacek, llr. !~alm and Mr. Olson volunteered to attend the conference in fulfillment of the Certified Local Government requirements. Goderstad moved and Olson seconded authorization to pay the registration fees for the three Commissioners. All ayes. 8. The meeting was adjourned by voice vote.
