Present: Commissioners Simacek, Smith, and Thorsen, staff Grossman; Absent: Commissioners Goderstad, Malm, Hoeschen and Stoneberg 2. Minutes of the Meeting of June 26, 1991. Commissioner Smith moved and Commissioner Thorsen seconded approval of minutes. Motion carried, 3-0. 3. Review work proposed for Masonic Block A permit has not yet been applied for, but a new approach to meeting the safety requirement for a third floor emergency exit has been proposed. This exit will be approximately half way from the front (west) to the back (east) side of the north wall of the third floor and should not be visible from either side of the building. Most of the work for the proposed apartment development has already been reviewed and approved by the HPC. The exit requirement was a problem for both the HPC and the Building Inspector. The opinion of the commissioners present was that this form of exist was the least disturbing to the building and site lines from the street and if formally included in a building permit could be approved. 4. Commissioner Smith moved and Commissioner Thorsen seconded approval of a budget for 1992 to be submitted to Council as attached. Motion carried, 3-0. 5.
