Commissioners Thorsen, Coutu, Sctmirring, Anderson, Simacek, Sovik-Siemens present; Smith absent. Chairman Coutu called the meeting to order. 2. Minutes of November 4, 1996 Mr. Thorsen moved and Mr. Schnirring seconded approval as printed; motion carried. 3. Bills. Mr. Schnirring moved and Mr. Thorsen seconded approval as printed; motion carried. Hastings Star Gazette - $17.40 - ordinance notice same - $10.94 - hearing notice same - $15.41 - hearing notice St. Paul Stamp Works - $13.80 - name plate 4. Staff & Committee Reports. Barker House. The city received two offers, both proposing a passive preservation of the property, without making major changes for occupancy or reuse. City will meet with proposers. 5. Review of building permits or design proposals. No applications on hand. 6. Unfinished business. Committees and Commission organization. Deferred to January. Two new positions. Ms. Anderson moved and Mr. Thorsen seconded recommending the appointment of David Warg to Council for a three-year term to fill one of the two new positions authorized by Ordinance amendment. 7. New business. Discuss 1996-1997 preservation planning project with consultant The work plan agreed upon by consultant (Carole Zellie) and commissioners: By February meeting: Boundary documentation - Zellie; Guidlelines response - commission. By April meeting: National register nominations and local designations - Zellie. By June meeting: Zoning and ordinance amendments, mailing to residents, workshop for residents, Council hearing. Consider 1997-'1998 CLG Grant application: no action. 8. Adjournment.
