City Council Minutes
May 19, 2008
The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting on Monday,
May 19,2008 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Hastings City Hall, 101 East 4th Street,
Hastings, Minnesota.
Members Present:
Mayor Hicks, City Councilmembers Hazlet, Hollenbeck, Riveness,
Schultz and Slavik
Members Absent:
Councilmember Alongi
Staff Present:
City Administrator Dave Osberg

Approval of Minutes:
Mayor Hicks asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of the regular meeting on
May 5, 2008. Hearing none, the minutes were approved as presented.
Proclamation-declaring the week of May 18-24,2008 as Emergency Medical Services Week.
Historic Preservation Awards
Amy Martin of the HPC presented the following awards to property owners for their
contributions to Heritage Preservation in Hastings:

the Consent Agenda as presented.

Reports from Councilmembers
Mayor Hicks reported that there will be an open house relating to the MnDOT Bridge
on Thursday, May 22 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at City Hall
Mayor Hicks reported that there will be an event on Monday, May 26 in recognition
of Memorial Day.
There will be a planning committee meeting to discuss Adult Uses on Thursday, May
29 at 7:00 a.m.
The Historic Hastings Cruise Ins first car show will be Saturday, May 31, 2008,
beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Moved by Councilmember Slavik, seconded by Councilmember Hazlet to adjourn
meeting at 7:14 p.m.
