COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED
Council is requested to approve the attached change order for the Central Water Treatment Plant – Raw
Watermain Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Change Order identifies the cost savings to the City to change construction methods from open cut to
directional drilling the raw watermain pipe for a portion along 7th Street W. This was done not only as a cost
savings but also to reduce impacts and conflicts along a portion of the corridor. The contract time was not
amended with this change order.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The value of the work for Change Order No. 1 is a reduction in cost of $51,874.12.
