Background Information: Each year the HPC looks throughout the city, nominates, and votes for a number of good examples of properly maintained or restored properties. The HPC has enjoyed presenting these awards with the City Council for 23 years. A Century Home plaque will also be awarded to the community favorite turning 100, as determined by the poll linked from the City Facebook page, closing Saturday May 17. An HPC Commissioner will ask the recipients to come to the podium for their plaques.A group photo with the City Council will follow. Recognized properties 410 Forest Street -Nick and Julie Langley 313 Ramsey -Kim and Lori Duong Midcentury Modern 2410 Southview Court -Tim Connell Stewardship Award 1007 Sibley Street -Andrew and Raechel Valerius 221 8th Street W -Tom and Bernie Nesbitt The century home with the most community votes by the end of Saturday the 17th will receive a century home plaque. The others may purchase one for a 50% discount. Advisory Commission Discussion:The HPC selected the preservation awarded properties at its April meeting.
