Exler noted that serious dlscUIIlons ore taking place regardIng the formotlon of a Chamber
of Commerce for the City of Hostll\jll. whereupon, the followIng motIon WQl MOde by

nons to the Council regarding acquisition of the plaque for the Spiral BrIdge Replica, ..11

The quote "New Tl'IWn In Town" project of the University of Minnesota School
of Planning, using Hattll1(il. a" lei, - dlSCU8leÒ. It was geMlallr felt that this
could be of substantial valueto the City of Hastings. Furth"'r, It - noted that It would
be vfIIIY desIrable If persona Involved In city plamlng for Hastings could attend various
tarums during the course of the proe<:t at the Unly,,",Ity School. 10, Committee of Weckman,
NeftOn, and Fluegel, was established to report the acrlvitles of this project to the Commission.
