MINUTES OF TIlE MEETING OF TIlE PlANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF HASTINGS
March 15, 1967 - 8:00 P.M. Library
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peteraon at 8:00 P.M.
Members present I Psterlon, Nellon, Soleim, Fi.cher, Truax, and Fluegel.

The meeting was tumed over to Mr. Hodne and Mr. Lavine. Mr. Lavine
proceeded to give a detailed explanation of the economic report which had been
previously submitted to the Commi.sion. Numerous questions were posed to Mr.
Lavine and Mr. Hodne. Several items were discussed which would require further
elaboration in the report. Mr. Lavine stated that he would submit additional
data to Mr. Hodne and the Commission to cover areas dilcussed at the meeting.
A dhcu88ion took place regarding the financial status of the plan.
A committee will be appointed by the Chairman to report on the advisability of
paying the second one-half of the Cities share presently, rather than in
September of 1967.
The next item discussed was a request by Mr. Schumacher to zone the
arsa in which he proposes to conatract a multiple dwelling unit, R-3 subject
to review of the plsns by the Planning Commission. Whereupoâ motion was made,
ssconded, and carried unanimously that the Planning Commission recommend to
ths Council that the area involved in Mr. Schumacher's apartment development
be zoned R-3.
There being no further busineas to come before the meeting, the
same was upon motion duly made, seconded, and carried, adjourned.
