Memorandum of Discussion
Date: June 19, 1967
Place: 19th St. & Louis Lane
Participants: Leigh Nelson, Arland Siebrecht and Clarence Soleim, Jr.
Subject: Leo Schumacher Development
A meeting of the Planning Commission sub-comm"':tee on the Leo Schumacher
proposed development was held at the proposed site. The foilowing recommenda-
tions are offered to the Commission for their consideration:
L Any rezoning of the property for multi-dwellingde~e~t oShouJ..\I
be 'Contingent. upon a specific end use, with plans of the building
and/ or minimum cost per unit presente\l before final approval.
This will assure that the intended use be fulfilled.

2. Access to the property for for proper traffic control should be com-
pletely worked out by the developer, including all the necessary
petitions, easements, etc. At the present time, the sub-committee
feels that the access should include extending Louis Lane to 15th
Street, with curves as necessary to enable development of the apart-
ment complex. Also, 19th Street should be ext"nded at the same time.
3. Overall development of the area, including all street layout, zoning,
park land, utilities, and City faciliti.es for Road & Bridge should
be laid out and acted upon by the Council bè'f,ore th., cc~,ing of any
portion be changed.
The opportunity exists for excellent development of the area, and prompt
attention should be given to Mr. Schumacher's proposals.
