Guests present: Leo Schumacher, John Davison, P. Roffland, Kermit Crouch and P. Putman of Rodne Associates. The inspection of the physicaJ- layout of the Imperial Estates was con- sidered to be a great help to the Commission. The Commi~sion thanked Mr. Schumacher for his time and explanations. During the discussion of the plat after the site visit, the following points were decided upon! 1- Moved by Nelson and seconded by Tru~~ that a north-south street access at the east end (Farm Street) of the site be included in the final plat before final acceptance by the Commission. 2- The location of the proposed park area is not acceptable to the Commission. A more acceptable area would be the presently proposed Church area. 3- It ',ras then agreed that the seven propòs'ed lots facing Pleasant street would have driveway turn-arounds. 4- It was, also, agreed that the frontage road would run completely across the entire plat along Highway"". "- A-n access road thru the recommended park area to Fourth Street was recocmended by the Commission. 6- An access road from the corner of Fourth Street and Ash Street to the northeast corner of the plat must be provided for before the Commission accepts the final-plat. The meeting was then turned over to Mr. Crouch who explained his land- use survey. After the land-use survey discussion, the Commission asked Mr. Crouch some questions relative to traffic control for new platted areas. As a result of this discussion, it was noted that there will be several lots on the northern boundry street (Fourth street) of Mr. Schumacher I s plat that VIill have drive1¡lays that open directly onto Fourth Street,- which is U.,.ndesireable. Also, since Fourth street will become a ma~n~.. thoroughfecre to the center of Hastings, it was suggested that some \ thought be given to controlling traffic on this street so it will not become a problem similar to what we now have on west Fifteenth Street. \ \ \ -</' \ ¡D\ --.-----------------------,- -------------r----------------_._---------------- , " ð ; Ii); Hastings, Minn.
